Information on Catering and Hospitality Modern Apprenticeships
If you are aged between 16 – 19 years you can apply for a modern apprenticeship through Lanarkshire Catering School. We will give you advice and guidance to finding employment within the industry and put you through industry recognised qualifications.
If you are currently working within the hospitality industry and are looking to gain or upgrade skills to help with career development, please contact us to check eligibility for funding through the apprenticeship scheme which will give you the opportunity of achieving recognised vocational qualifications.
How the Training is Delivered?
Vocational qualifications are delivered in the workplace by a qualified assessor from Lanarkshire catering school visiting approximately once every 2weeks.
LCS also offers a day release option for chefs only.

Core skills are included as part of the above apprenticeships and where required also include REHIS food hygiene, personal licence holder training.
